Newest generation Sky Q box doesn't power ...

... from a newish Triax communal system. Had a different independant TV aerial company (existing one does not want to know) who have gone through it and been on the phone for ages talking to Triax about power/splitting the system better all of which has been done and the signals from the head end and switches are at correct levels. Triax then suggested the newest Sky Q boxes have lower power and combined with Triax's own lower power equipment means that the new Sky Q boxes will need power insertors. To try and get this box working the TV aerial company tried a Whyte power insertor but the Sky Q box still isn't working. Do we need to try and get a Sky engineer to bring a Sky power insertor to try?

Thanks

As @oldfella  says @Godfrey should hopefully be able to advise on the Power inserter  but I just wanted  to double check and ask  that your SKY Q box  is set to SCR mode

@TessleP82   The problem that I have is that your description of the communal Integrated Reception System provides me with absolutely no actual technical information with respect to exactly what specific device might be needing power to be supplied by a 'Power Inserter' installed in a residents flat..

It might possibly be using Legacy Universal LNB Multiswitches and therefore a Unitron dCSS-422 Sky Q Plug-In converter, or a Triax equivalent of this device, has been installed without being locally powered in the central IRS distribution cabinet, which would require power from a 'Power Inserter' installed in a residents flat, which is the most likely reason for a 'Power Inserter' to be required.

Alas, without a clear photograph of the actual equipment in the central distribution cabinet, to allow them to actually see what central distribution equipment has been installed and how it is presently powered, nobody is likely to be able to offer any advice without physically being able to inspect the communal IRS installation.

Why are you in this position, is it because you have brought your existing Sky Q receiver from a different address and not requested a 'Home Move' installation by a Sky Multiple Development Unit (MDU) trained engineer in your new flat?

Godfrey.
