Did you pair the remote to the new TV?
I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Samsung TVs also have an option to allow the tv remote to control devices like Sky Q. Press home on the Samsung remote and look for Connected Devices and Universal Remote. Follow the on screen instructions to set it up. Best to set up your Sky remote as well!
