Hi I have a new skyq box as the one I previously had stopped working, the old one I just had to turn on and it would automatically connect to hdmi2 port but now when I turn on with the new box it will randomly switch to hdmi1 so I have to either use the tv remote to change back to hdmi2 or turn the box off with the skyq remote and turn on again I have a ps4 console connected to hdmi3 I have a sony android tv kd55xe8396 is there something I need to do so when I turn the skyq box on it connects to hdmi2 straight away rather than connecting to hdmi1 randomly thanks

You need to turn the hdmi control setting on the Sky q box to on
Go to Home>settings>setup>audio visual>hdmi control

CHeck the setting in :
Home - Settings - Setup - Audio Visual - HDMI Control
It should be set on which should trigger the TV to use the correct HDMI port
BTW providing your SKY Q remote is paired you shouldn't need to use the TV remote as the SKY remote has a 'Source' button - on the newer voice remotes it is the Top Right Button (A slight eliptical rectangle with arrow pointing in from the left)

hi @Sueby67
If the TV does need an OK press rather than just timing out when the option is selected then unfortunately you will need to use the TV's wn remote - the SKY Remote does not have that function for TVs
