New sky box q same old problem

I was experiencing problems with my previous Sky Q box, where during the final week of use it would repeatedly disconnect from Wi-Fi. Each time this happened, I had to either re-enter the Wi-Fi password or power the box off at the mains to restore the connection. I reported this issue and was advised that the problem was due to a faulty box, and that a replacement would be sent. As a result of this replacement, I unfortunately lost over five years’ worth of TV recordings, which was extremely disappointing. However, the replacement Sky Q box has proven to be significantly worse. Instead of disconnecting once a day as before, the new box is now losing its Wi-Fi connection almost every hour, making the service unreliable and frustrating to use. I would appreciate this issue being investigated urgently and a proper resolution provided, whether that be a fully functioning replacement box or an alternative solution. Given the loss of recordings and the continued disruption to my service, I would also expect this complaint to be taken seriously.

You can't make a complaint on here. Incidently Sky Q boxes aren't designed for keeping recordings indefinitely (although I would imagine a lot of customers do this). The idea is for time shifting - record a programme, watch the programme, delete the programme.

Sky will then have up to 8 weeks to resolve it or issue a deadlock letter.
