I've been sent a new hub, but it is a standard hub when I have sky Q. Is this right.

Where a Q Hub user doesn't opt to add the WiFi Max subscription supplement they get a Sky Broadband Hub.
The Sky Broadband Hub is entirely compatible with the Q television platform.

if it black there is the Q hub and the broadband hub both are completely compatible with Sky Q and are both black the Q hub is older and being phased out as it no longer gets updates. Both these hubs have the Q mesh technology.
The newer broadband hub is black and upright and as i say fully integrates with Sky Q the newer max hubs and wifi 7 hubs are white and don't have the mesh technology and need to be treated as third party routers hope this help.
