I have noticed an improved picture quality when watching HD channels like BBC1 ITV.....
it seems that the picture is sharper than before.

Evening all,
My Q box has updated the software to the latest version Q220.000.23.00L but having major problems with technical fault on every channel including recorded programmes. Tried to reboot, and reset to no avail. Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

Hi Steve
I had the exact same problem and to resolve this you need to update the box again.
This has solved my issue with content no being displayed in many areas.

My box has just updated to Q220 after such a long time on Q210 and meh... no difference and no announcement with a changelog that I can see.
There's no more Sky Q feature development since Sky went streaming and that's really annoying. It's not like there's a subscription discount, is there?

Still not showing on my mini box. It downloads an update but then stays at 210.

Hi All was there a release date for Q220 just trying to workout when my Sky Q box the update
32B1xx Sky Q 2TB Q220.000.23.00L
I seem to have only just in the last few weeks begin to suffer the dreaded failed to download 0% from catchup/on-demand services.

There has been several updates, as yet Sky still can't fix an issue that has been happening for certain customers for over 3 years. Great service I have to say!!!

Hi @chagoi
If you haven't tried already, power reboot your broadband router, followed by the Sky Q Main box. If there was a problem with catch up and on-demand following the Q220 update, then this community would have a meltdown from hundreds of thousand users with a 32B1xx box.

I have done all that plus several engineers and new boxes. It still fails. Sky know about it and have admitted it. But it's ludicrous that it's over 3 years and several updates and they still can't sort it out. Complete joke and nonsense really

Thanks, yeap done that, I even went to the extent of swaping the router out. Also all my Sky Q box's are hardwired with ethernet! Thanks

Mine is also plugged in with the Ethernet!!! And on a really fast speed of 500. Sky even mentioned a while ago it was an issue with my broadband provider. We tried that but that was proved wrong and nothing to do with them, so that ruled out Sky trying to blame others

Hi all
We've been having issues with our mini box dropping connection with the main Q box for a week or so. Only for a few seconds at a time. I have updated all of the boxes to the latest in this thread. I have hard wired the main box using a home plug as I can't use Ethernet wires from BT hub. We have now noticed the main box is freezing/losing sounds and downloads are being affected. Also recordings are part recorded and have software issues. I will unplug the main box (again) but any ideas on a quick fix would be great before I ring Sky. The main box is in a tv unit and does get hot. Could this be the problem? Thanks. Simon.

Bad Idea to have a Sky Q box - or any other electronics box inside a TV cabinet. Their cooling fans are unable to disspate the heat and the box just gets hotter and hotter until it fails...
Either remove it from the box so its in the open air, or make sure there are large ventilation holes at the front, back and sides. SkyQ boxes don't get hot normally. Warm yes, but not too hot to leave your hand on the case.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I will relocate the main box and see if it helps.
This morning I was greeted by another blue screen on the mini so reset the main. This didn't help. I get the tv guide but no picture, just blue screen. This is every morning now for a week. Software update didn't fix.
Reset mini and picture is back. I reset the main box yesterday and it worked so god knows which box it is.
