Netflix on Sky Q box

Hi

I;ve had Sky Signature including Netflix for a long time (more than a year) but I've never actually been able to watch Netflix on my Sky Q box. It just says "To use this service you need to upgrade your subscription"

I've tried calling Sky Support countless times but they are next to useless. Nothing they suggest makes any difference. Each time I call I have to go through the same circle of trying the same things that I know didn't fix it the last time. After hours of phone calls I've just given up trying - it's not the end of the world as I can watch Netflix on my laptop instead.

 

Has anyone else experienced this? And is there anything I can do to speak to someone in Sky who actually knows how to help?

Do you definitely have NetFlix as Signature does not specifically include it.  (Sky do offer bundled deals but you have to have explicitly signed up to it)

 

You normally have to have the ultimate TV add on to get it.  Can you confirm what your subscription is?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Yes, I've just double-checked my bill and it includes "Ultimate TV Add on".

Hi @Georgetrc 

Do you also have the Sky Q HD and UHD add on?

If you don't, you can only watch on one device at a time.    Therefore if you using Your Sky Netflix on your Smart TV or any other device then you will be able to simultaneously use your Q box for Netflix.  Also without the above Add ons you will only be able to watch Netflix in SD.

If you subscribe through Sky
Sky Ultimate TV includes the Netflix Basic plan (1 screen + SD)
You can upgrade to Netflix Standard (2 screens + HD) by adding the HD pack On Sky Q.
You can upgrade to Netflix Premium (4 screens + UHD/HDR) by adding the Ultra HD pack (requires the HD pack first) on Sky Q.

Yes, I do have the Sky Q HD and UHD add-ons. I was actually wondering why I have the UHD because I don't have a UHD TV - that explains why they added that for me.
