Netflix accounts

I've been trying unsuccessfully to use an existing Netflix account with my sky but every single time I've tried. It deletes my account.

I do not want another Netflix account with sky. I just want to watch my normal Netflix account. Can someone please help me? I've tried the tips the sky team have said to me- use a different email address to your sky account which I did but this didn't work and now my Netflix account has been deleted.

Unclear what you mean by 'deleted'

Signing into the Netflix app on a Sky device transfers billing and will move the subscription to the bundled tier

Re: Netflix accounts

So I don't want my current Netflix access transferred to the subscription bundle. I wanted to retain my own account and subscription.

Unfortunately, due to what's happened my account has been deleted and I've lost all my Netflix history which I had accumulated over years. I've tried to clarify that I don't want this to be the case and to create my own account separate from the Sky Netflix. I was advised to use another email address to my sky registered one by a sky employee but this didn't work. So, now I'm asking the community to see what else I can do to get access to Netflix through my TV without having to lose my existing subscription. This has happened already and I've tried multiple times.

I don't understand this. I've never had a problem. Signed in from day one with a non-Sky-billed Netflix account and it works fine and billing has never been affected.

I would call Netflix and ask them why they think your account has been "deleted" - did you change the email address associated with the existing account?

Re: Netflix accounts

My understanding is that Netflix accounts - much like all the streaming services - are only deleted when you actually request it be deleted and even then they will ask for confirmation. It won't/shouldn't happen automatically/accidentally. It's part of their business model in order to make resubscribing more appealing.

If you stop paying the account is just deemed to be inactive with all your data intact ready for you to activate it again at some point in the future. (I think you can even "browse" an inactive account and only start paying when you start watching again?)
