I am helping neighbours with a problem they have with a Sky box that doesn't support HD. However, they don't have broadband which they accept is needed in modern life. They are unable to do this themselves, one is extremely ill. Technical questions next.
One can choose Sky Broadband but I can not talk to anyone about the underlying problem that the Broad Haven Pembrokshire exchange is non LLU. In theory Sky can't connect to it. This is confirmed on a couple of websites in the exchange detail listings, however is the data up to date? Anyone know please, my efforts on the Sky website have been extremely frustrating and voice contact is impossible.
Assuming it is not possible to connect via Sky one is pushed to BT to avoid problems with moving their land line number elsewhere, currently BT of course. However, I note some problems recorded here with Sky on BT. We are talking about two Tvs and a Sky Q box and minibox, if I have got that right. Any views or comments please?

Sky's website broadband finder shows what services are available to a particular address/phone number.
I have been with BT for many years and have used their broadband without issues for Sky+, Sky Q and Sky Stream.

I had looked at the place where they say if you can have it but the answer conflicts with the information elsewhere. I will pursue it further but found the one phone conversation very unhelpful. Was promised the earth but found too much I knew was not true!

I have checked again and Ofcom say only BT provide service. Elsewhere it says that only providors are BT, EE and Plusnet. All the same company of course. That source has a big red cross against TalkTalk and Sky. All the same as my efforts yesterday! When you go to buy to see what happens you are told what wonderful speeds you going to get. I did get in touch on Twitter messaging after many attempts to find a way of conversing but couldn't get an answer to clarify the position. I don't trust the information I am getting from only one place on Sky, a sales section. Anyhow, have to go BT!

@Pembsuser I've always been with BT and have had zero problems with running Sky with them.

I had BT and had problems. The issues are down to wifi playing up and it working differently with sky than any other ISP, not that it doesn't work at all . They're not insurmountable but if you possibly can, get those boxes cabled or connected over powerlines.
(Love Pembrokeshire. Used to go there a lot and done the properly difficult cycling event there a couple of times.)
