Mine too. Started this morning around 10am. I removed the viewing card, cleaned it  returned it, switched the whole system off then on, but its made no difference.

I am haing the same issue,

I agree with Quoman07 it definenetly sounds like a software upgrade, i've done several upgrades on it systems that has had unexpected results

Error message. Veiwing card cannot be read

Started by picture freezing, now getting an error message that veiwing card cannot be read, I removed card cleaned and reinserted, problem cleared for a few minutes only for it to return.

I have the same issue, happening every few minutes, reinserting card or restarting SKY Q box makes no difference. Works for few minutes then reoccurs.

Viewing card message

Keep getting onscreen message say"please ensure the correct viewing card is inserted chip facing up. Have tried all troubleshooting suggestions and TV work for a few minutes then message reappears and picture is gone been trying for 4 hours!

Hope it's fixed sooner rather than later.

Would be appreciated if Sky could announce the problem and keep customer's of when they expect the problem tp be fixed.

Just a thought but Sky have been in my area for a few week's installing what look like big black cannister's with many wire's attached..maybe this is connected to the issue's we are having

Viewing card

On at least 4 occasions this morning I have received on screen message - ensure correct viewing card is inserted with gold chip facing up. Despite carrying out the recommended procedure the problem returns . On 2 occasions it has started working again without me doing anything but it goes off again after a few minute

Viewing card in skyQ box

Subscription channels persistently going off line and requesting sky card be correctly inserted.  Have followed all directions but still happening.

So Sky are aware of the problem and have switched off all the phone support lines presumably because swamped with calls, but the Sky online Service Checker page reports no errors and  SkyQ  service "looks good" !

It clears the message, doesn't resolve the issue though, which occures again. When you google Sky issues there's nothing to indicate this, only from past experience I know to check here
