My tv says no viewing card
Open reach upgraded my service yesterday. Now my tv says no viewing card. There is no viewing card in my old sky q box that I can see. And no slot in the new box....
I can't get a number for technical support. I have all the free channels,
My laptop is working fine. Just the tv. No paid channels. Apps or sky cinema, box sets.I've tried unplugging and rebooting numerous times.
Can anyone help me or give me a phone number to speak to a real person. I'm losing my mind

Re: My tv says no viewing card
What is this 'new box'? (Q viewing cards stick out slightly)

Re: My tv says no viewing card
It's bigger than a q box and stands on its side.
But there's no viewing card or slot for a viewing card on my old q box or this one. I'm baffled. My really old sky box had a viewing card but that's been gone years

Re: My tv says no viewing card
If Openreach have visited and installed something that will be to do with your broadband and not TV.
All Sky Q boxes have a viewing card slot on the right hand side.

hi @Char203
I think you may be getting your SKY Q box and your (SKY ?) broadband router mixed up.
Your new box is likely to be a (SKY ?) Broadband router, which does not have a viewing card and does not provide you directly with TV
Your old SKY Q TV box is still needed, & I suspect that it has been knocked or otherwise disturbed to cause the message you are seeing.
The SKY Q TV boxes do have a viewing card which is on the right hand side and the card only just shows.
You will need to look at this and pull out the card & then replace it fully - hopefully this will restore service for you
Edit : Just in case you have more than one SKY Q TV box the main box, which has the card is the one attached to the Satellite dish input cables

Re: My tv says no viewing card
unless you are also switching your TV service (to stream) then your Q box shouldn't be touched.
