My Skybox loses network connection randomly and I need to input the router password to connect

For some reason my Sky box is losing connection with my router. I go to Settings and the message shows connection is lost.
Pressing reset doesn't work. I need to enter all details again. There's no pattern to the loss in connection. It can happen midway through watching a programme, or after several hours connected. It means I cannot connect to the Apps which is mostly what I use my Skybox for.
I changed broadband provider and have a new router. This was approx 3 months ago. The drop in connection started mid December, so the new router was working perfectly fine at the beginning.
Any advice from the kind community?
