My Q Box's Voice Recognition seems to have suddenly got very poor

My Q Box's Voice Recognition seems to have suddenly got very poor.

I regularly search for certain programs like "The Beiderbeck Affair" and it has always correctly recognised the word Beiderbeck, but for the last 2 weeks it has not once recognised Beiderbeck, it comes back most frequently with "by the back" or variations there of ?

This is particularly annoying as Rewind TV is currently airing the show !

Other words it is now having difficulty with are "Cure" and "Clue" probably others...

Has anyone elso noticed this or know if Sky are using a different voice recognition system ?

I use it to turn on/off subtitles and it now thinks I'm saying 'subtitles of'. It started a couple of weeks ago. Very annoying.

I am having problems also. Trying to switch to "CNN". Almost impossible. This used to ok but recently just got a lot worse.

Sky what have you done !

My subtitles problem partially fixed by saying "TURN subtitles off". Still doesn't work without the "Turn" though, so probably not learning, just recognition.

Totally agree that voice control and search feature have deteriorated dramatically.  I used to be able to successfully search, launch apps and turn subtitles on and off etc., but now 90% of the time the result has nothing to do with what I requested.  Very frustrating.  Why the sudden deterioration

Re: My Q Box's Voice Recognition seems to have suddenly got very poor

I was saying "TURN subtitles off" and one day I just said "Subtitles off" and it recognised it. Now I say the shorter version every time and it gets it right. Has it learnt my shorter voice code from the longer one? Who knows. Otherwise all seems to work OK apart from the occassional misinterpretation.
