Hello,
We have recently added multiroom onto our package and now have our main Sky Q box plus two mini boxes. The issue we are having is that we cannot watch tv on both mini boxes at the one time. I have tried to call Sky about this multiple times to be told it is because our Sky Q main box does not have a large enough storage? I then get passed from department to department with no one actually offering any support. I am not prepared to pay even more for a newer main box and feel I should never have been given multiroom in the first place if my main box was not capable of dealing with it.
Any support or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Is there an email address for Sky as I cannot face another 90 minute call leading to nothing.
Thank you 🙂

No.
If you have an original Q box then it only supports 1 concurrent mini box.
'Upgrading' to a box that will support 2 will require a charge (around £50-100).

Storage isn't the issue: it's the number of onboard tuning circuits.
It's tangentially related because it's the original 1TB main Q box (2016-19) which only has tuners to support one Mini box

It can, but only one Mini box at a time. You could, however, use that a point with which to negotiate with Sky for either a 2TB main box or the revised 1TB (from November 2019 onwards)
