Multiple sky Q mini boxes can’t view at once

We have a sky Q mini box in our Dining Room and we purchased another one for my son's room. We can't watch them at the same time, even though we subscribe to multiroom?

@Joanna+Hillard If you have one of the original 1TB non UHD Q boxes then unfortunately although you can have up to 4 mini boxes attached you can only view on the main box and 1 mini box at the same time.

If tou have and Sky Q box that is capable of UHD then you can watch on 2 min boxes at the same time I'm guessing you have the older 1 TB box

Sky are not very good at asking what main box you have when you order additional mini boxes

see below to find out wehich box you have

Re: Multiple sky Q mini boxes can’t view at once

If you have a non-UHD 1Tb Q box, it's only set-up to allow this to feed a single mini.

Source here:  @Daniel0210 You can have a maximum of 4 mini boxes loaned to you by Sky. You can watch Sky content on two minis and the main box at the same time. You may be able to use a 3rd mini box at the same time if you’re using it for one of the apps such as Netflix.
The original 1TB (non-UHD) Sky Q box only allows one mini to be in use. All 2TBs and the UHD/HDR 1TB permit two mini boxes. Each mini box which is loaned to you will be subject to a one off upfront charge but you only need one Sky Q monthly Multiscreen subscription.

Re: Multiple sky Q mini boxes can’t view at once

Thank you for your help and it looks like we have the wrong box, but how do I order a replacement box? - especially as there are no contact details online ☹️

To contact Sky, go to this link: https://www.sky.com/help/home

Scroll to the very bottom of the page and now select the Need More Help dropdown, this will lead to a phone contact.

Ignore the automated messages, just wait for an advisor

Good luck.
