Multi room alternative

I've got a Sky Q box, my son wants to watch Sky in his room. We used to have multi room but need to save money. The advisor I spoke to said I can get something for his tv to allow him to watch TV that's not what we're watching in another room but I can't recall what it was.
Can anyone advise please?

(he's already got an Amazon fire stick for Netflix etc)

Via Sky, the only option is multiroom with a mini-box.

An aerial?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Hi @LMS1

Not aware of anything other than a mini box

@LMS1

I think your son can possibly  use the SKY go app to watch live programmes on a PS5 or Xbox or possibly a PC  connected to a TV

It can also be used on mobile devices such as phones or tablets - but these can't be used to cast to a TV

The SKY Go app  can't be used for any recordings, though,  without the multiroom subscription
