I want to mount my TV on the wall. All my cables and sky q box will be on the other side of the room. Do I have to get cable extensions or is they sender and receiver (red eye) you can buy.

Biggest issue if you don't move the Q box @John197737 will be the length of the HDMI cable. This would be too long for UHD.
Moving the Q box would mean Satellite extension cables which are readily available. No simple alternative.

If extending the cables isn't an option, then you could get a Sky Q mini to use which connects to the main box wirelessly, but that is an expensive solution (in terms of ongoing costs), and doesn't help if you want to watch in UHD/4K.
Moving to Sky Stream would also solve your dilemma, but does come with other considerations as it is a very different system to Q.
Easier to move house? 🤣
