Moving home - no sky dish

Moving home next week - currently have sky q but new property doesn't have a sky dish so need to switch to sky stream. Broadband in new property going live on 26th May but told I have to wait until then to switch to sky stream. Two thjngs; 1. I want my current sky q package deal to migrate over to sky stream on 26th May (forced into having to switch to sky stream as no dish). I also want continuity of tv service throughout. 2. I want to keep sky q active until my move day.

@richard198430  Sky aren't forcing you on to stream, if you arrange a home move Sky would install a new dish unless a lease holder or Landlord doesn't permit dishes on their property

either way you cannot migrate your existing Q deal onto stream for the simple fact your Q package doesn't exist on stream so you will have to create a new package when signing up for stream

Your Q subscription will remain active until you order stream which is why you have been given the advice not to order before you move

Some gap in continuity of tv service is something that cannot be guaranteed

Re: Moving home - no sky dish

understood- so I'd need to negotiate a new package with sky stream? Seems a little unfair if my existing discounts with Sky Q aren't the same though?

Can't you stick with Q?

Q and Stream are entirely different products with different channels and capabilities. Also, as you are an existing customer you are not entitled to the same deals that new Sky customers can achieve.

As others have suggested, you'd be better off booking a home move and getting Sky to install a Q dish at your new home, then you just take your current Q equipment with you and carry on with the discounted Q subscription you currently have.
