2. Of ap how does work and what do I need to do?

As you mow have a communal feed you will need to check/change the LNB type to SCR - this is in an engineer's menu
To access it :
press Home
Scroll to Settings - but do not press enter/select at this point
Press 0 0 1 in sequence followed by the Enter/ select button
you should now get the engineer's menu
Select the LNB Type & set to SCR if necessary
After changing the LNB type power down your SKY Q box and restart it for the change to come into effect
Edit please note however, it is quite possible (if not likely) that your feed is not SKY Q compatible and may need an 'adapter' to be fitted by SKY

@Afrochap sounds like you have moved into a property with a communual dish ?
If so you will need a Sky MDU engineer to come out to set you up

I think so too but getting Sky on the phone is a pain. Chatting is impossible as it's just a bot.
I think they need to do better
