Move skyway to another room

Do I have to have a technician come and set up my SkyQ box in a different room, as I want to change sitting rooms

Only if you need the dish cable entry point to be moved to the other room.

I have an old lead from when we used to have the old school multi room... would that be the same as the cable needed?

You would need two cables from the dish. You might find that the old multiscreen cable isn't connected to the dish.
