Just purchased a 3rd sky q mini box & it will not connect in any room i try it in, says maybe a sky connection issue or something like that. I've been trying now for 3 hours & still won't work

All Mini boxes are loaned: did you acquire it from Sky or elsewhere?

Re: Mini box

Loaned or not it cost £50 through sky, if loaned should have been fee how much they charge for subscriptions

@Barkay83

That's not how it works (and also an entirely different topic which has been discussed exhaustively for nearly a decade)

So if a Mini box supplied by Sky isn't functioning then the suspicion would be either inadequate WiFi from the next nearest Q device, or that the maximum number of devices has been exceeded.

A Main Q box can have either one or two Mini boxes in simultaneous use, depending on which hardware variant it is.  It's not possible to have three Minis running simultaneously even if the main box isn't being used for viewing.

Is this some distance away from the other Q boxes?  Remember a Mini cannot use WiFi from a non-Sky source.

Re: Mini box

Probably about 12 meters away, the wifi up there is from a sky wifi extender
