Mini box won’t turn on

Hi,

 

a few days ago my sky q mini box stopped working.

 

I've tried hard and soft resets of the main box and the mini box many times. 

the main box still works perfectly but when the mini box turns on it gets to the first 'press home when the screen goes blank' screen and then turns off and becomes unresponsive.

 

I've also tried a new remote and resetting the remote using the 7+9 then 1+3 routine I've read about.

 

any other ideas?

Hi @D4N1987 Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot, do the same with the Mini box

I've tried this and the Mini box still dies after the reboot and "Press home when screen goes blank" screen.

 

The mini box light goes off completely.

You may receive an email or a private message inviting you to have a private conversation on the Community with a Sky Expert.

Look out for a chat bubble at the bottom of your screen inviting you to a chat
