Mini box keeps buffering

I have 2 mini boxes one works fine the 2nd one keeps buffering, the faulty mini box is within 2 feet of the router so should not be caused by network issues, The main sky Q box does not have any issues. 

Any ideas as makes watching sport painfull.

Have you tried switching them?  (That could identify if it is a hardware issue)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Will swap them now forgot to say minibox conected to sky sound box, strangley working OK at the moment.

Hi @golf18 

The proximity of your Mini to your router is irrelevant unless you are Sky Sky Broadband with the normal black Sky router.

If you have the White Sky Max fibre router or a 3rd party router minis will only connect to the main Q box or another connected mini if nearer.

well it appears not to be a hardware issue as the replaced minibox also buffers, it was when I just changed channel. I will monitor this evening when the darts are on
