@Geoff1131 Have you tried rebooting your router then when that is up and running

reboot your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

then finally rebooting your mini box

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Sky Broadband Hub/SR203, Sky Ultrafast broadband

Re: Mini box connectivity

I've tried the rebooting the Q box then the mini box, still not working. Called Sky and they said they couldn't help or provide an update. Fuming

Hi

@Geoff1131

@Winkle

Try a Network Reset on the mini.
Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).

If you are on Sky Broadband and the Router is nearer to the mini than the main box then you can try pressing WPS on the router instead of the main Q box. If you do this make sure you press the Sky router WPS button and not the router reset button. If you have the new Sky Max router then you need to connect the WPS to the main Q box.

Failing all of the above you may need a Sky Q WiFi Booster to position midway between your main Q box and the mini and you will need to contact Sky directly.

Re: Mini box connectivity

Hi, my name is Julie, I am writing this as my husband can't help as he had a stroke over 3 years ago and so I have to sort out any problems.  I have been having same or similar problems with my sky q, at the moment tv screen says "It looks like you do not have internet connection right now"  Go to settings and check your network connection status to reset.  There were ticks in both boxes, (connection to sky q box and network connection) then network onnection kept losing connection, went to network connection many times and reset, this time on screen "there seems to be a problem with your broadband" before pressing reset, it reset itself and then disonnnected again and again.  I have followed all the instrustions on the sky website. I've tried the rebooting the Q box then the mini box, still having problems. I have tried resetting network settings Home - Settings - Setup - Network.)
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. I followed instructions to WPS with main Q box. I then pressed the WPS button on the main Q box.

This has been going on for almost a week now and I'm really struggling🥲

Unfortunately this is how bad the Q's networking is. I use powerline adapters between the mini and Q and then they use ethernet and seem much happier.

are you on sky broadband or another provider? If sky do you have the old black router or a new white one?
