Mini box and hdmi splitter

Mini box. We have 3 mini boxes. I have to switch No2 off before No3 will work. On No 3 my jvc tv has only one HDMi slot so I’ve tried a splitter and new Up to date cables and whilst my blu ray player works the mini box doesn’t. It say no signal and a black screen. Any ideas?

hi @nthatch 

You need to be aware that two is the max number of minis that can be used for SKY content at any time (hence the need to switch another off) - you may be able to use 3 but one of the first used must be using an app such Netflix or Disney + rather than SKY content

1st thing to try is to see if the mini works  when connected directly to the TV

@nthatch Also try swapping the Mini's around to see if the issue remains with the splitter.

Hi @nthatch   Is the splitter HDMI 1.4 compliant and are both outputs set to the same resolution?

@nthatch is your splitter externally powered? If not, that might be the problem.

Are these two different problems?

 You need an HDMI switch, not splitter.
