Mini box Remote control

Hi, Every now and then the Mini box becomes inactive with the remote control, batteries are fine, I have tried the main remote with Qbox but no success. The only remedy seems to be to turn off the box at the mains etc has anyone else had this problem and should I contact sky.

Hi @BIGGS666 

With the mini box on with green led try completly resetting your mini Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the mini box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Hi, I've tried doing what you suggested but after pressing buttons 1&3 the remote led flashes but there's no on screen prompt.

Have tried several times, any ideas thanks.

Hi @BIGGS666 

Try rebooting the mini and then try pairing again.

To reboot press Standby on your mini remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your mini back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your mini remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

When pairing the remote Is the mini box on with Green LED? Also the television needs to be on.

Also you need to be pointing the remote at the mini Infrared sensor.
