Hi all. I'm in the process of trying to clear the garage & have a spare TV so thought; use the stepdaughters mini box. The problem I have is the distance and a solid outer wall (garage added later). I couldn't connect the main box to the mini so bought a 5 metre HDMI lead with the mini box in the next internal (stud wall) room and the HDMI lead running through the open connecting garage door. Amazingly the remote works through that solid external wall into the room with the mini box (about 4 feet or so away).
It's not really practical so other than drilling a hole through the breeze & brick wall is there a solution? Cheap, practical, draught free as the garage can get very cold in winter.
Points to note;
I have a BT hub
I have 2 more mini boxes; one upstairs & one in the kitchen. Both give occasional connectivity problems but always resolved. The stepdaughter's box was also used on occasion.
