Lost remote

So I've just moved house and I've lost the remote to the sky q box in transit. I have the sky q mini box remote. Can I make the remote control the main box rather than the mini box? If so please tell me how! It's been nearly a week with no tv!

hi @Lou2002

If you don't have an apple device to be able to use the virtual remote on SKY Go whilst you wait a replacement then, yes, you can reset your mini remote & use it on the main box :

Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times

Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV - make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared

You could also use the same remote to control both boxes in infrared mode only (which looses the ability to use voice control)

You do this by pressing & holding 4 & 6 together

In IR mode the remote must have line of sight of the box

(Once you have a second remote you can reset as above)

@Lou2002

Is there any particular reason you haven't gone to a larger supermarket and purchased a new remote?

If you follow this link it’ll eventually send you to a form to request a replacement (there is the possibility this is not available to customers in the ROI).

In the meantime if you have an Apple device with Sky Go you can possibly set up a virtual remote to control your Sky Q box. See this link which may help
