Looking for price reduction

I am looking for a decent discount on my sky bill as can no longer afford present prices of sky tv and broadband. I have been quoted £105 per month inc TNT Sports with Virgin Media. We are paying £158 with Sky at present going up to £183 in August. Our contract with Sky runs out 1st August

@elaine+gold as you're in contract, you've committed to your current payments until 1 August. You could see if there's any add-ons that aren't in contract that you may be able to cancel in the meantime,

Hi @elaine+gold  Going to Virgin Media appears to be a no brainer.

Just to be clear, we're only other customers here, like yourself. You'd need to contact Sky by phone or chat. Just say 'cancel TV' when you get the bot, if it blathers on about still in contract just use the 'need more help' option or stay silent and it should put you through to an agent.

As said on a previous post you are on a minimum term till 1 August however as we in are in mid June now you only have to wait a couple of weeks till 1 July to give Sky the  31 day notice to cancel  your TV  and if you want to change to virgin they will manage the cancellation of your broadband just let them know you are in contact with Sky till August.

Let's be really clear, a contract does not "come to an end" until a customer gives the statutory 31 days notice of cancellation, what "comes to an end" is a discount period on one or more Sky products

I am just another Sky customer!

You can give notice to cancel the TV at the end of minimum term at any time, you don't have to wait until exactly 31 days from the end of minimum term.
