Location Check Failed

I am having an issue when trying to download programs on my sky Q box. It keeps giving an error saying 'Failed, location check failed' I have spoken to sky support who have reset the box and sent a replacement, but I am still having the issue with the new box. I have since been told it is an issue with my ISP, but the only service I am having issues with is Sky downloads. from the Sky box (and other devices) I can use iPlayer, ITVX, All4, Netflix and Prime. I can also use Sky Go from my home broardband so the issues is only affecting the sky download service on my Sky Q box.

Is anyone able to help with this?

Normally your ISP in the first instance to ensure the public IP address they have issued you is correctly registered in the UK.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

I have checked with my ISP and a number of IP geolocation sites. including iplocation.net, IPLocation.io and the location checker on other sites like NordVPN and Surfshark who all report my IP as from London UK. as I live in wales I assume that it where the ISP have registered the addresses and should be ok.

Has Sky got an outdated GeoIP list?

Were you ever able to get this issue resolved? - And if so, how? - I am currently seeing the same problem as well!
