I've been having issues with sky the last few days. It's been pausing and now letting us watch recorded TV or on demand. Tonight it had a hard disk warning. So we bit the bullet and did the hard disk reset. We only had a few bits on record. But now I can't do anything other than watch live TV. I can't pause. I can't record.. download or buy anything 🤔

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt sounds as though the hard disk has failed, I'm afraid, which means the box will need to be replaced. There are used Sky+ boxes available cheaply on ebay (about £30). Look for a DRX890 or DRX895 model.

Why do we have provide our own if its their equipment? That seems unfair.

You don't if Sky Q, always replaced free of charge as equipment (apart from dish) is loaned to you
