Live recording only

I've been having issues with sky the last few days. It's been pausing and now letting us watch recorded TV or on demand. Tonight it had a hard disk warning. So we bit the bullet and did the hard disk reset. We only had a few bits on record. But now I can't do anything other than watch live TV. I can't pause. I can't record.. download or buy anything 🤔

It sounds as though the hard disk has failed, I'm afraid, which means the box will need to be replaced. There are used Sky+ boxes available cheaply on ebay (about £30). Look for a DRX890 or DRX895 model.

You posted the same issue on the Sky Q board (now removed), so do you have Sky+ or Sky Q?

Hi sorry its a Sky Q box. We just have the one no extra boxes or anything

Why do we have provide our own if its their equipment? That seems unfair.

You don't if Sky Q, always replaced free of charge as equipment (apart from dish) is loaned to you

I am just another Sky customer!
