So I don't have a hdmi port on the sound bar just Bluetooth or optical .....

can you still configure it as "passthrough" on the TV? Might make things worse or better.

Actually by turning everything to auto/normal and no Dolby it seems to be working mostly ok 

 

will also look at soundbars,..
