Hello, as an av install company we have now come across 3 installs with connection problems.
so, we have connected the main box and miniq boxs via unmanaged switches (tried various makes) and we cannot get the mini's to fully connect. We have even tried to disconnect the sky boxs from the main switch and install a small unmanaged switch just for them and no solution. The other problem we have now come across is the mini box will connect but can have a lag of around 5 mins from pressing the remote to response. Has anyone else come across these issues?
i can provide more info from our installers if that helps as we are having a meeting to go over everything.
One other thing we have tried replacing the main box in one install with same issues.
thanks.

Is that literally main Q box to Mini, or both main and Mini on a standard ethernet topology along with an ISP router and other hardwired devices?
Is the Sky WiFi switched off?
What else is on the network?
Any chance of a network diagram?

I've only ever connected them with the ISP router on the same subnet for DHCP.
