Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

I got a new sky q box 2 weeks ago and this morning I have the waiting for tv schedule message on my tv guide prior to this new box I had the same issues rebooting the box every week sometimes twice a week very annoying from sky that this hasn't been sorted out

And again.

In the past seven days, my EPG has updated correctly *twice*. I've had to reboot the box every other time.

I shouldn't have to be doing this every day it would seem for something this bloody box should be doing automatically yet here I am 🙄

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Hello.

'Awaiting tv schedule' across every single channel once more HOWEVER the EPG is updating but very late or through the night and the series links aren't always picked up because even though the EPG has updated, a lot of the programmes have 'no information listed' and therefore the series link doesn't pick up so I have to manually reset it. So right now it would seem my EPG is updating but several hours later than it should (it should be continuous right? No breaks in the EPG with the 'waiting for tv schedule' message?) so something must be going on somewhere. Does anyone care enough to explain what could be happening here and why? I'm loathe to ask for a replacement box as apart from this issue, the box works perfectly and if it's not the box but the software/meta data then the issue could reoccur. Which is why I'd be interested in an explanation as to why this is happening from someone in the know

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

It really is a joke.

I have done this every week for 8 months now.

If there was ANY decent alternative I'd have long gone and took my money elsewhere.

SKY don't care when I talk to them.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

For what it's worth, I've had eight weeks of a properly working EPG. I was almost thinking that the error or glitch or whatever it is had been finally resolved but checking my EPG for next Wednesday (so I can set a couple of new series links) and from 7pm? 'waiting for. Tv schedule' across all channels has returned. I would LOVE to know what causes this to happen? The EPG will hopefully update later tonight or overnight and in the grand scheme of things it's not important but what it IS is annoying 😫

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Seems like this annoying issue has started again for me as I'm 'waiting for tv schedule' from 6pm next Friday, making it twice this week after eight weeks of working properly.  🙄

It will more than likely update overnight as it did last time however it should be continuing to update so weekly series links are picked up because even if the EPG updates through the night, there are no guarantees the series links will too and in that case I'll have to manually reset them.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

And it seems to be back again. Only five channels have updated for next Sunday. Every other channel is 'waiting for tv schedule' from 6pm so no series links will be picked up for next Sunday unless it decides to update whenever it feels like or I reboot the box.  I'd genuinely thought this issue had finally resolved for me. 🙄

Mine has returned too. I have had to reboot several tines so far this month. It is a real pity that Sky are incapable of resolving it.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Mine has just this minute updated but it seems like, for my box,  it's roughly every eight weeks that this issue threatens to return/lurks.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Its definitely an eight week thing because its been approximately eight weeks since the last ltime it happened  and its happened again. Currently 'waiting for tv schedule' across all channels except for a small handful. It will probably update later but its still cropping up 🙄

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

I don't use them and I have the issue so I don't think so.
