Re: Ireland: Problems with the Irish Channels Breaking Up
Problem is with interference coming from some telecom towers around the country.
I have traced the problem in the past and reported it to the relevent authoroties but seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. In one case they did come back to me after 6 weeks and confirmed my findings and had the operator cease its activities. Some places the CH4 frequency is affected also. Its appears to be a second harmonic of the 5ghz band or more scarey is that some ISP is using a frequency on the 10.5G to 12.5g range.
I found the problem in parts of Dublin, Athlone and Moate Co. Westmeath.

On Sky Q box the RTE 1 Channel 101 is pixellating and breaking up. Totally unwatchable. Has been since installation last september and no0thing has been done despite repeated calls re same.

Sky won't do anything as they are leaving the dish platform and going over to streaming in the next few years.
Its terrible how they didn't even have a technical support department for guys that were in the trade. On second thought any tech guys out there weren't installing for Sky anyway.
