Interruption on mini box

My mini keeps losing internet signal and then stutters.

Tried All the rebooting scenarios.

Tried with wifi, with mesh wifi and direct cables none make any different.

Main Skybox is old, the hard drive emptied several times.

The main box does not stutter.  Its signal comes from the dish.

Does the main box need a constant stable internet signal?

Does the mini box need a constant stable internet signal?

How can I monitor the incoming internet signal for interruptions?

I fear this maybe a problem

For streaming apps, yes.  Everything else arriving on-demand can buffer to the hardware drive.

No, but it absolutely requires a stable signal from the main Q box because that's where its data comes from.

Is this live TV (or a recording of it) or a streaming app?

Then it's nothing to do with the incoming internet connection since that isn't used for live TV.

And the mini box is connected via ethernet? To what? And is wifi disabled on it?

Re: Interruption on mini box

i tried the mini box with ethernet cable - wireless off.

then tried with the connection over wifi via linksys mesh system - the mesh node is connected via ethernet cables

Hi @IntoSky   The mini box should be using the Sky Q Mesh, not your Linksys Mesh. The best solution is Ethernet from Main Sky Q box to Mini.

Re: Interruption on mini box

sky q box is to far away from the mini, hence the ethernet cable connection but this still caused stuttering

will get the ethernet cable tested

Sorry but you didn't answer the question. What was the ethernet cable connected to?

it might be faulty but that's rare.
