Hi @RedSquirrel05

Try first rebooting your Router by disconnecting the power lead for 30 sec and then reconnecting.

Wait until the router is completely back up and running and then reboot the main Q box.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

Re: Internet dropped out

Hi oldfella

I do not remember how many times that I have done this and I still constantly lose internet connection.

I do not work for sky, I only pay for a service which is not working. The excuses that I receive from the service engineers are many and mostly unbelievable..

Too much power on the PoE from my switch. ( my switch does not have PoE facilities).

The Internet is the problem, get it fixed.

my switch was faulty, so I changed it, no difference.

The sky box can not understand the router that I have, so I have to change my router.

The colour code on my RJ45 lead are not right., even though they are the same at both ends.

The twists in my RJ45 cable are not correct so this is interfering with the data.

My Ping is too slow. (I am a gamer so I know that there is no problem with my Ping or speed.)

etc.et.,.

I do not want a refund, I just want the thing to work, after 3 years I am starting to lose the will to live.
