I have the same issue, regardless of what BBC channel I use, I am also on the border and use BBC1 Wales and West Midlands, I have also tried NI no other channel is affected including those listed in the other comment.
I can't see very many other complaints about this though?

CNBC is still showing the same problem also. It is intermittent the same as BBC1.
I think it is a problem I will have to live with.

I have this issue also and have had to resort to usage of BBC1 via the IPlayer. Seems to have occurred since the upgrade to HD on Southern a few months ago.

Hello, I have just found this thread having had this problem for a while as well. We usually see BBC South. Is also shows pixelation on recordings of this channel too.
I followed what people said and checked 505, and we do also have the pixelation there.
We can change channel to BBCWM or CI and both work fine - no pixelation at all.
Could you please let us know what can be done to rectify this issue?
thank you

I have the same problem, switching to single feed mode has the same issue with signal strength and quality poor or zero, but on theother channels it is very strong, so can't be my LNB or cabling.

If you have a Sky Q receiver then it always displays the Signal Strength and Quality of the default Horizontally polarised Tp4 satellite transponder signal.
If you have your own Sky MiniDish it will have been fitted with a Wideband LNB so your Sky Q receiver should be configured to use the default 'Wideband' LNB mode, only if you are being fed from a communal Integrated Reception System installation should your Sky Q receiver then be configured to use Single Cable Router (SCR) mode.
A Sky Q receiver only reports the signal strength and quality of the default Tp4 satellite transponder reception, irrespective of what channel you are presently watching.
Thus, if you have your own satellite dish you would only be able to check just Tp4 using the coaxial cable that provides the Horizontally Polarised satellite transponder signals from the Wideband LNB. You would have no way of displaying the signal strength and quality of any other Horizontally Polarised satellite transponder signals, or any of the Vertically Polarised satellite transponder signals that would be using the other coaxial cable from the Wideband LNB.
So, what exactly do you mean by the term 'switching to single feed mode', because if you have your own satellite dish you should be using the default Wideband LNB mode, and only if you are being fed from a communal IRS distribution installation should your Sky Q receiver then be configured to use the SCR (Single Cable Router) LNB mode.
Do you have your own satellite dish, or are you being fed from a communal IRS distribution installation.
Godfrey.
