Intermittent Sky Q box

Our Sky Q box seems to disconnect for no apparent reason.  It can go days without a problem, but then can just cut off 4 or 5 times over the course of an afternoon/evening.

@The3Parkins You could try resetting the settings in the Q boxes hidden menu.
To enter the hidden menu press the home button and scroll down to settings but do not select settings.
With settings highlighted press 0 0 1 then select
Only Carry out the first Reset being Reset Settings as the others will wipe all recordings.
After the reset you will have to re-pair your remote assuming you are using a bluetooth remote by pressing 1 and 3 together on the remote

"Disconnect" as in switch off - Q Box and TV together...

 

Wondering if the fault is more TV related than Q Box 🤔

Does the power light change colour?

 

does the TV go off or lose the incoming signal? If the former, this sounds like the TV is turning off and telling the Sky box to do the same via HDMI-CEC

We had a new Q box fitted yesterday morning - all seemed fine until yesterday evening whne it crashed again. TV off as if no power, Q box still had green light on.

 

Previously, it has sometimes just re-started almost immediately without any intervention. Last night it didn't so we did the old IT engineer trick of Off and On at the wall, which worked!

 

We may go for a new TV next.....
