Re: Incompetence
We always remind customers to remove the viewing card from the faulty box and accept the power lead the courier brings with the replacement box in case it's different to the ine you previously had.
Youll need to call Sky to arrange one.

Re: Incompetence
Im sorry did I mention the viewing card in my post NO!!!
The courier handed me a Sky Q box no power cable or anything. I handed him the old box. NOBODY mentioned that the power connect had changed. Your resposne is a waste of time.
I can see this has been ongoing for years and still Sky cant do the right thing.
A complete and useless service with no care about the customer

You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here. If you are new to the forum then welcome to the Community which is made up predominantly of Sky customers helping other Sky customers which includes additional help from customers who are Superusers like myself.
I pointed out the two things we advise customers to do when swapping a Sky Q box. I know you didn't mention the viewing card.
The courier should have brought the replacement in a box which should have also contained the power lead for the replacement box.
As that didn't happen for whatever reason, you'll need to contact Sky to arrange a replacement power lead.

Typically a v2 main Q box (c2017-18) will ship with a separate PSU that has an external transformer block under a second layer of packaging: the design change was apparently because the v1 had some thermal issues. Unfortunately it's unlikely a courier will know this if they haven't actually encountered it.
v1 (2016) and v3 (post-2019) boxes use a standard IEC C7 figure-8 power cable, with the transformer built inside the enclosure.
