IP being blocked

I have a static IP with my ISP and recently they changed that IP address and since I have been unable to log into sky go or stream anything on devices where I am already logged in. I couldn't even log into this website without 1st connecting to a vpn. Is there any way to get this IP unblocked?

Not so static then...  true static address are rare nowadays.

 

What's the geolocation for the new IP?  It would be likely it's showing as outside the UK.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Geo location is UK. It was a one off change as I pay for a static IP.

Ok, it shouldn't be blocked then.  (Although, there are previous posts with similiar issues and can take some time to resolve if it does need a back-end fix)

 

You can try reporting it to Sky but getting past the 1st line staff may be a challenge.

So initially my isp (gofibre) were asking me to contact sky to get the IP unblocked but having been round the houses and just off the phone with them seems it is a wider issue.  After they carried out these network changes, when I was also issued a new static IP address, many people are now having the same issue.

 

They have now contacted sky to try and get the issue resolved so fingers crossed it won't take long.

Reused an IP block originally assigned to anither country no doubt.
