I would like a mini box

I need to speak to someone about an extra box my friend has just been given a free mini box and I would find it very useful in the bedroom as my husband is spending a lot of time upstairs due to his deteriorating health

hi @Food2Di4

We are, primarily, just other customers here & you will need to call SKY

If you have the MY SKY app I think you may be able to find a number there - especially if you are a SKY VIP member
If not go this page & scroll to the bottom and expand the link need more help & scroll down

https://www.sky.com/help/home

If you have SKY Mobile or SKY Talk land line then I think you can also call 150

BTW in case you are not aware to use a mini box you need a monthly Multiroom subscription

There is usually an up front admin fee for each mini box but this is often waived for the 1st mini

Also you can use a maximum of 2 minis at the same time for SKY content - Satellite/Recordings- (only one if you have the non UHD box - Hardware version 32Cxxx) although you can have up to 4 on the account

You may be able to use more at the same time if the first ones in use are only being used for Streaming apps such as Netflix or Disney+

All miniboxes are the property of Sky - they do not belong to customers and must be returned at the end of a contract, otherwise they are treated as stolen property and Sky have the ability to remotely deactivate them.

If you wish to have a minibox then you need to ring Sky and ask to add the multiscreen subscription to your existing Sky Q package. They may send you a minibox at no charge if you explain the situation to them, but there is no guarantee.

As stated by @Mister_Dalek you're technically handling stolen goods. Give the mini box back to your friend asap.

A Mini box can be 'free' (from Sky) but using it is not: that requires the Multiscreen subscription add-on.
