I’m having constant issues connecting to Netflix

I’m having constant issues connecting to Netflix On my SkyQ box, whether I try and connect through In Demand or through Apps. I've tried switching everything off and on again but this is only a temporary fix. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Can you give us some idea of what these issue are please?  What exactly happens when you try to sign in?  Thanks.

When I click on Netflix I just get the red circle going round and round under the Netflix sign and it doesn't open for me to choose which profile, either my own or kids. It's as if it can't load. The loading circle will go on indefinitely. I've tried switching on and off my SkyQ and my internet and occasionally it works but more often than not it doesn't. It's mainly in an evening when I try and load it to watch.

Has your Netflix with your current Sky Q box worked in the past, in that is this just a recent problem?

Some other things to try;


Firstly, try a refresh of the apps as described on step 3 of this help article.

Note: refreshing of the apps can take up to 24 

 

If that does not resolve the issue, on launching Netfix at anytime, try;

  1. From the Netflix homescreen, go left to open the menu.

  2. Go to the bottom of the menu, go right and select Get Help.

  3. Select Sign out.

  4. Sign back in, then try Netflix again.

You can also try this from the same Get help menu;

  1. Select Reload Netflix

  2. Sign back in, then try Netflix again.

Yes it has worked in the past for a good length of time with no issues. This has started happening in the last 2 months.

If Lettice suggestion don't work, could it be your internet?  In an evening, depending where you live, there can be greater demand which can affect the signal.  Have you tried during the day?

I'm having the exact same issues. Extremely frustrating and there doesn't seem to be a solution offered by Sky that actually works. 

is there a way for Sky to reimburse the monthly payments for Netflix if you are unable to access it? 

refreshing the apps have not worked. Neither has waiting on hold to technical support.

No

 

While Sky are (still) working on a fix for this (there's another very long thread on it) I can only suggest you access it via your TV/a different device/platform. You're still getting it cheaper from Sky than if you paid Netflix direct.
