I have numerous old Sky and Sky+ boxes, how do I dispose of them?

I have old boxes that were mine, plus my In-Laws boxes, which need disposing of. Do I need to send them back to Sky, they haven't requested I do, or simply take them to a local council tip?

SKY+ and Sky HD boxes are yours to do with as you wish. Sell them or dispose of them at the electrical recycling at the local tip. (Sky Q boxes belong to sky and must be returned)

I believe you can recycle via Sky: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/return-or-recycle-sky-equipment

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

This post is very useful. Is this the case for recycling the old sky routers like the sky hub as well.

Yes, if it's a Sky Hub (shown here) or earlier. The later models may be loaned to you and therefore need to be returned to Sky.
