How do I stop Sky Q Turning itself off
I have a message on-screen which says Sky Q will switch off in 30 seconds and there is a timer showing the seconds passing. There is also a box which says 'Continue Watching' but I do not know how to activate the 'Continue Watching' instruction. There must surely be a button on the remote to press to keep watching but what is it? The 'Home' button has no effect.

I suspect it's your TV doing this rather than the Q box.

Re: How do I stop Sky Q Turning itself off
Thank you for your reply but I think it must be the Sky Q box that is generating the message that it will shut down. We did not have Sky Q until earlier this week and it did not happen previously with our TV or our old Sky equipment.
Since the screen message provides an option to continue watching, there must be a method of saying 'Yes, we want to keep watching'. Pressing the 'Home' button on the remote did not work. It just shut down and had to be turned on again, annoyingly not on the same programme.
If anyone knows how to respond to the option 'continue watching', I would be grateful for a reply.

Press the select button
if the one on the Q remote doesn't work, it's the TV doing it. Press the select button on that.
it does sound like a TV message to me.

Re: How do I stop Sky Q Turning itself off
Thank you for your reply. When the screen showed the 'Continue Watching' message, we did press various buttons on the Sky Q remote to no effect. My daughter's Sky Q has the same problem with no apparent method to continue watching.
If it happens again, we will try pressing 'Select' on the TV remote. I am not hopeful because everything else is controlled by the Sky Q remote; but we will give it a go.

I am 99% sure this will work
There are TV functions the Q remote can't control. In fact, all it can really do to the TV is on/off, volume +/- and "change source"

Re: How do I stop Sky Q Turning itself off
Thank you for your reply. If or when the 'Continue Watching' option appears on the screen, we will press select on the TV remote and I will report back here.
All these replies are helpful. Sky Q Help is silent on the issue and the chat help is frustrating and useless.
