Yes, Discovery Plus have started to show adverts.
The only way to not get them is to subscribe to the full package (directly) which you can't get via SKY
(edit : @oldfella I just checked the options on their site - the entertainment + sports sub says No ads but some programmes contain sponsorship & trailers)
BTW even if you do subscribe to the full packge direct with them, I believe since the recent update to the SKY Q app just before the new year it does not give access to the additional parts of the subscription (e.g. Sport)

Since the adverts went live, Discovery+ released an LG TV app. Also, you can get the Discovery+ app on an Amazon Firestick. So there are ways to fully subscribe.

I didn't say there weren't ways to watch the full pack - I believe, just not via the SKY Q app currently

I wonder if that's true. After all, we did get sports with the Winter Olynpics. So I don't know if the Sky Q Discovery+ app would allow sports or not.

I would rather warn people rather than find they subscribe separately to then find the app doesn;t support it
The Olympics were a temporary add on rather than part of the full sub

If sports can be added on, then it should be added on for those who subscribe to sports. But if it cannot be done, then the app should be redone to be complete.

You can't add the sports to the SKY sub - only by going direct and taking out a separate full Entertainment & Sports sub.
This may be why they restricted the app on SKY Q although I think it is shortsighted
