Hi .. been referred here re a problem with the sky Q mini box.

I was referred here as I have a problem with the sky Q mini box. The engineer came out a few days ago to replace a faulty ONT box and since then the mini box in another room will not respond to the remote. The remote works with the tv but not with the mini box. There is power to the box and I can switch it on manually but then cannot change channels . Obviously tried disconnecting and reconnecting from power and done a restart but to no avail. Is there help here or are Sky just trying to get me off the phone ? Cynical? Sadly yes...

@Marlene+13 Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

Hi Laing1... thanks for replying ... been on the phone to them. Did all that to no avail then he decides that even though the installation was done by Sky it was wrong !!!! and I should have seperate remote for the mini box despite it working perfectly for a year! So sending me a remote for it... I have a feeling I'll be back on the phone ... 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈
