The app is now missing from the main box. I have tried app refresh and also software update to no avail. This is really annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I go into shop and try to add it again it just says I have already paired my sky account with it.

@22Carolyn22 it can take up to 24 hours for an app refrewsh to work although it rarely takes that long.
I dont know how long you have given it but leave it an hour then try a reboot ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions
