Hdmi issues
Hi everyone. I am in a bit of a predicament. The inwall hdmi cables are damaged and can't be fixed. My missus is not keen at all of going and drilling into the walls to put new cables in as we have just done the house up. I'm wondering what solution there is for me to watch sky q on my tv. I've looked at hdmi transmitter / receivers but it appears hit and miss if they work with the sky q box. Apparently the one here below does? Does anyone know if that is the case and also does anyone have a solution that they know works for them or friends etc?

Re: Hdmi issues
I think you'll have to try it and see. Can always send it back to Amazon if not. Probably depends on wifi congestion.

I'd suggest that the fact such hardware hasn't made any kind of inroads into replacing cabling anywhere in the world despite being around for a couple of decades might have something to do with its fairly notorious unreliability in general rather than a specific issue with Q.

So have you any suggestions for a solution?

If you're not going to use a cable, there isn't another option.

Re: Hdmi issues
Fundamentally Q expects to be cabled over HDMI to its client display: if there was any decent, reliable and economic alternative for set-top-box to TV connection it would probably be in widespread use by now.
Sky themselves would presumably suggest you look at Glass.
